The Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah) is celebrated in September or October annually. The traditional greeting during one of the two High Holy Days of the New Year is Shana Tova! In Hebrew, the word Shana means 'year' and Tova means 'good'. So the greeting ‘Shana Tova!’ literally means, 'Have a good, sweet year'.
Sweet foods are traditionally eaten through the celebrations – slices of apple dipped in honey, pomegranate and braided challah bread are all significant as well as the pigeon bird.
THE TASK
Linked Security seizes the moments offered by the Jewish New Year to say Shana Tova in commemoration with their numerous clients far and wide. One of the things being done by the company is designing and sending postcards.
I was contacted to undertake the design task on behalf of the organization to give a befitting reach-out to their Jewish friends & business partners.
