Office collaborated with the Google Creative Lab to redesign the Chrome identity to better represent the experience of making the web faster and easier for all.
Office collaborated with the Google team to develop a simple identity that embodies the spirit of Chrome. To maintain the equities of the previous mark, the logo is based on the same interlocking forms and colors. The Office team stripped down the highly stylized, glossy 3-D icon to reflect Chrome’s super-simple, fast experience in a way that’s refreshingly light and modern.
The logo was also designed to adapt easily to a broad range of applications — from a PC menu dock, to notebook hardware, to TV spots. The flat and friendly visual style became the foundation for Google’s icon system.
