A project i made for packaging course. I was asked to design a package for oil.
Oliva (olive in latin) is a cosmetic product for skin care, made of 100% natural ingredients. The product is ment to be sold in boutiques of the manufacturing company only and is relatively expensive. The concept behind the packaging derived from the field of botany in general and the structure of a leaf in particular.
I thought of ways in which to convey a sense of a leaf without actually creating one. Finally i decided to focus on the main vein of the leaf and the way a leaf behaves. As i went along, i came to a conclusion that the vein itself sould be see through, therefor i chose glass as a material for the vein. As for the rest of the package, i chose paper becouse of its specific gravity, lightness and structure.
