Life of a Neuron

Life of a Neuron
I was invited by ARTECHOUSE to design an animate the Development section for the Life of a Neuron exhibit in Washington DC and NYC. Created in partnership with Artechouse Studio the Society for Neuroscience and my good friend Brandon McFarland.
Life of a Neuron brings artists and scientists together for a groundbreaking collaboration to explore how the brain shapes the shared human experience. Through collaboration with the Society for Neuroscience and the world’s leading scientists and creatives, this immersive exhibit will allow us to experience a neuron—from pre-birth to death—providing an experiential view of life at a cellular level.
Creating a sense of presence and immersion within this framework was a welcome challenge. I decided to use an oceanic theme of beauty and power, to guide the aesthetic parameters of these scenes. Neural kelp forests, tidal wave forces and bioluminescence, sending emotional shockwaves through our minds eye.
