COP15 - ER Impact Video

UNDP & CBD came up with a Massive Open Online Course of Ecosystem Restoration to develop a step-by-step ecosystem restoration plan and apply effective restoration solutions in national and subnational context. I got an opportunity to create the impact video of it which was presented at COP15.

UN Biodiversity Conference (COP 15): 7-19 December 2022 in Montreal, Canada, governments from around the world came together to agree on a new set of goals to guide global action through 2030 to halt and reverse nature loss.

The video was presented at two events of COP15 - Montreal, Canada:

- Forest Ecosystem Restoration - A crucial piece of the new Global Biodiversity Framework Wed- 14 Dec, 2022 13:15 - 14:45 EST, ROOM 514B

In this session, Jamison Ervin, UN Development Programme (UNDP), described how the free, massive, open, online course e-learning module called Learning for Nature, offered by UNDP and the CBD brought together policymakers, restoration practitioners, teachers, and university professors from 186 countries to support the global movement for ecosystem restoration. A short video demonstrating how the MOOC gathered 17,000 concerned citizens to prevent, stop, and counter the effects of environmental degradation and providing details and testimonials from MOOC graduates was presented there.
