Introduction
The power consumption in our society is not free for you or the environment. This is a great issue in our time and it will be even bigger in twenty years. For example the generation of electric power produces more pollution than any other single industry in the United States. This means that it’s very important that consumers reduce their consumption to decrease pollution in the future.
Idea
An app that is connected to your fuse box and power meter that keeps track of the power consumption in your house/apartment to show statistics of each room, how much power that’s been used and it compares it to other days and weeks. You can also control your power consumption through the day and use the settings to turn on and off the heating system in your home. So when you go to work in the daytime you can turn the power off and turn it back on again right before you go home.
This idea makes it easier for everyone the keep track and to control his or her own power consumption. The app also gives the consumer tips of how to reduce the power consumption for the environment and for their own benefit.
