Fundado em 19 de março de 1954, O Clube Atlético Patrocinense é a verdadeira paixão grená dos patrocinenses. Tem como mascote a águia e o estádio onde faz seus jogos é o Gigante do Horto em Patrocínio/MG.
Fundado em 1954 e desde 2018 na elite do futebol mineiro, o Clube Atlético Patrocinense (CAP) decidiu deixar a tradição de lado e vai mudar o formato de seu escudo, que é muito semelhante ao do Atlético.
