Customized Digital Wedding Invite - Live Project
Project Brief:
This was a live project where I had to create a digital customized Indian wedding Invite to be sent out from the groom's side to their relatives, inorder to do so below were the details I had to consider:
1. Grithpaan Vinayak, 27th Jan, 2023, 9:00 am onwards with venue.
2. Sangeet, 27th Jan, 2023, 11:30 am onwards with venue.
3.Haldi, 28th Jan, 2023, 11:00 am onwards with venue.
4. Reception, 27th Jan, 2023, 7:00 pm onwards with venue.
5. Nakasi, 29th Jan, 2023, 10:30 am onwards, with venue.
6. Mayra 30th Jan, 2023, 10:00 am onwards, with venue.
7. Barat and Reception, 30th Jan, 2023, 5:30 pm onwards, with venue.
8. Phere, 31st Jan, 2023, 9:30 am onwards, with venue.
I first started with creating illustrations with the bride and groom's reference pictures to make the wedding invite customized. Since the invites were to be sent digitally mostly on mobile phones so the screen size kept in mind was 1080 px by 1920 px. Before drawing the customized illustrations using Illustrator, I sketched a draft of how I wanted the background to be and how much content needs to be placed on each screen to make it look aesthetic as well as fit in the illustrations.
Images 3, 4 , 5 ,6 and 7 were used from the internet, every other asset in the invite was created by me digitally using Illustrator. Finally after deciding how each illustration and asset should appear for each function, I animated it and created a video out of it using Photoshop.
This was my first animated invite that I had created, and It took me quite some time to make this because of the number of illustrations, functions and timing for each function,. This project helped me understand how much reading time a viewer would need before the screen changes, with appropriate music in the background. Overall it was a great experience and my clients also were very delighted with the customization and how much the illustrations looked like the bride and the groom.
