Bonifacio and the Freak Show
The University of the Philippines Los Bańos Office for the Initiatives on Culture and Arts (UPLB-OICA) in collaboration with the UPLB Department of Humanities (DHUM) of the College of Arts and Sciences, HARMONYA: The String Ensemble of UPLB and THEA107: Theater Communication Sections Y & Z through the celebration of the 3rd Southern Tagalog Arts Festival staged “Bonifacio and The Freak Show”, an exciting original Filipino theater musical that run last February 19, 20 & 21, 2014 with 3:00pm and 7:00pm performances at the DL Umali Auditorium, UP Los Bańos in Laguna.

Given the script ahead of time, the team made the teasers according to their characteristics and their memorable lines.

FREAK X HUMAN was the main idea. We tried to portray their freak side through the painting, and made the human side as a silhouette.

The play and the people behind it are all from the Philippines, except Isa. I coordinated with her through e-mails, and I admit that it was hard to explain to her the local terms and themes, plus the history of the play and its subliminal messages.
I would like to shout out all my gratitude to Isa, who made every illustration in this production.

This is my biggest (and most challenging!!) project to date, but I enjoyed it so much!
I hope I gave a nice branding to Bonifacio and the Freak Show! :)
