This three dimensional font was first created using simple lego shapes. It was the rectangle base piece the lego is placed on that gave the font its three dimensional finish as I simple placed the lego following the lines of the rectangle base.
Once I had created the initial shapes and tested them using the lego I decided to create the grid, using grid paper, and start to test the idea on paper to see whether it could work and whether it would still seem three dimensional.
Once I had tested the idea on paper and tested the grid I decided to use InDesign to create my three dimensional grid. I then filled in the squares on the grid to follow the shape of the lego pieces I originally created. I then decided to use a two toned colour scheme to help emphasise the three dimensional finish of the font.
For the back of the poster, which we were told to create a Three dimensional piece, abit ironic with the three dimensional font I had already created, I decided to test my wood work skills and recreate the letter C using old recycled wood. Once the letter had been created I sanded the wood down and painted completely white. Using inspiration from the Vauxhall Corsa advert I then placed the object infront of a projector and projected many different shapes, colours and objects onto to create a beautiful but simple final piece for the back of my poster.
