A split level apartment in Kiev. It is situated in the new living block on the left bank of the city. The apartment has three levels. The first is situated on the 9th floor of the house, which is the top floor, and the next two levels are in the attic space. The apartment covers 120sqm and makes vertical zones expantion.
There is a small lobby, guest lavatory, open space kitchen and a hall on the first level (which takes 40sqm). On the second level (40sqm) there's the host bathroom, kid's room and a playroom with attic storage. The bedroom and a library are situated on the third level (also 40sqm).
Despite the shape of the site - the zoning and the layout are very successful. Some parts of the site that seemed to be problematic turned out to be very useful eventually. For example the seemingly useless space under the main staircase was turned to the tiny laundry room. And the space under the upper staircase can be used as a storage. The parts of the attic where the ceiling is very low was used for the boiler etc.
