This Dada inspired poster was created for an imaginary promotional tour for The Mars Volta's album Noctourniquet. Inspired by the name, “Noctourniquet” a portmanteau of Nocturne (a musical composition evocative of the night) and Tourniquet (a compression device used to stop the flow of blood to veins and arteries), along with the theme of capture, and subjugation prevalent in many of the songs I chose to portray a bad dream, hoping for escape.
Hand-drawn/cut lettering brings a ransom note feel.
