THE BRIEF

Bring the alphabet to life on the back of our Alphabites boxes.  The content of the solution should inspire and engage kids. It needs to build excitement among kids, and anticipation for future boxes. The concept needs to be really educational or crafty in a non-scholarly way and fun for kids, helping them to learn without realising that they were doing so. Ideally it will thrill and entertain adults too and be something that can be enjoyed for more than one breakfast sitting.

SOLUTION

I created an exploring game, each box is themed around a habitat, one that belongs to one of Bear’s friends for example Peter the Penguin. The idea is that after exploring a number of habitats of the child finds 'Bears home'.  The child will do this by completing a number of  ‘Explorer Tasks’ found and revealed daily as the cereal goes down on the side of the pack in a clear strip. These tasks will be relevant to the habitat themed box and will teach the child about that particular environment. It will encourage academic thinking as well as audio and practical types of learning. The Explorer Diary will be found inside the box and will allow the child/children to record their findings and assess whether they think they have found the Bears habitat.
