SORTED Recycling

SORTED was the practical element of my Dissertation during my Fourth Year at University. My research was based on the lack of involvement in recycling amongst residents in Sea Point, and how there is little to no unique strategy to encourage and enable residents to want to recycle. I chose a recycling depot in Sea Point as my case study; rebranded it and developed a reward system that would encourage recycling and also celebrate the Sea Point community.

Elements:

Logo
Poster Campaign
Community Newsletter
Loyalty Card
Website and Facebook Page

The community newsletter is 100% recyclable, each layout having a second use. The back page is also a loyalty card- residents would receive a stamp every time they dropped off a certain weight of recycling, and after they collected 6 stamps, they received, for example: a free 3 hour vintage bicycle rental to ride along the promenade. Each reward would change each month, the only requirement is that the reward is based in Sea Point. Celebrating local business and developing a pride for the neighborhood.
