Eddie Pendergrass Presents is a small record label startup that will reissue vinyl boogie funk records from the early 80s. “Eddie Pendergrass” is the client’s DJ name, and “Presents” refers to the curating of the music and releases. In designing the logotype, different lettering styles were considered reminiscent of the time period and music genre including glossy bell-bottomed script and neon light mono-width style letters. Also important to the client was a design that not only could stand alone, but fit within a standard 7 in. vinyl record label.
