The Goal of this project was to create a brand identity system for Mk Laptops, an online store based in the UK that sells brand new and used laptops worldwide. The client wanted a design that conveyed a sense of innovation and modernism. The brand name "Mk Laptops" was derived from the initials of the founder's name, with the word "laptops" added to it. The client desired the initials to be the core element of the identity, capable of standing alone or being paired with a logotype.
The Solution: Recognizing the founder's strong commitment to using his name initials as the central element of the identity and logomark, We embraced this idea and developed a minimalistic monogram combined with a custom wordmark. The monogram and wordmark were designed to embody modernity and innovation. In terms of color selection, We drew inspiration from laptop shades and created a combination featuring a vibrant blue hue, which added an element of innovation and trustworthiness to the overall identity. The final color palette chosen for the brand was timeless, modern, innovative, and trustworthy.
By leveraging the founder's initials and incorporating them into a minimalist monogram, paired with a custom wordmark, the brand identity design successfully reflects the client's vision of innovation and modernism. The color palette, influenced by laptop shades and accentuated by a vibrant blue hue, conveys a sense of trust and reliability, and relativity.
