The Everyday Experience of the Road

Visual Research: The Everyday Experience of the Road
Повседневный опыт дороги

The visual study focuses on the experience of a person on the road: I asked the respondents to record their day from the moment they left home until they returned, and take notes along the way. With the help of these materials, I strive to understand what the road is for different people.

The hypothesis of the study is the assumption that the urban environment can not only set the route and direction, but also have an emotional impact on a person. Small, at first glance, images of space affect the experience of a person on the road.

The idea behind the design of the publication is monotony and dryness in layout, achieved with the help of a small format that limits experiments with the arrangement of blocks and a strict inflexible modular grid.
