'Arno Capital | Cyrillic Typeface

Cyrillic Type Design - 'Arno Capital
Experimental display typeface design with support for the Bulgarian alphabet in uppercase. Inspired by Art Nouveau architecture and fonts, the aim was to give Bulgarian letters (which usually appear quite rigid and angular) a sense of femininity and softness. The name " 'Arno " comes from the Bulgarian word 'харно' (harno) which means nice/good/cool, but is also a shortening of Art Nouveau. Through this type specimen-esque zine I showcase some creative ways in which the letters can be combined and used in design.
