Statement of Intent
This is an experiment in making a single image composed of multiple exposures using a camera that does not have that capability.
This project should assist me to learn more about the use of layers and blending in Affinity Photo.
I am focusing on this area because I want to explore the possibilities of taking a number of photographs of the same subject, from slightly different perspectives and places, and combining them to form a single image.
I’m following in the footsteps of Pep Ventosa, but will be working indoors on a table using natural light from a window. I only took and used 7 images.
While my first love in photography is portraiture, I hope to develop my abilities to create impressionistic images using this technique.
Image 1 is the basic subject
Image 2 is the 7 images automatically stacked in Affinity
Image 3 is layered blending with 65% opacity
Image 4 is layered blending with 35% opacity
Image 5 shows some of the layers deliberately mis-aligned
Image 6 is my preferred image with 10% opacity and a fill layer at the back.
