A 2023 Calendar / Artbook

A 2023 Calendar
Also, a Collection of Rabbits, Bunnies, and/or Hares Known Universally;
A Homage to the Year of the Rabbit.

As the people who celebrates Chinese New Year, we are kind of fed up with Chinese calendars depicting each year’s designated zodiac animals. It was our inspiration into designing and eventually making this calendar / artbook. How is this an artbook, and why are Chinese calendars an inspiration, you might ask? Well, when designing this particular object, we thought it would be a cathartic experience to go against the basic principles of a calendar. (an excessively antagonistic perspective on our part) What turned up after that is this calendar / artbook that is also a collection rabbits, bunnies, and/or hares known universally.
Probably one of the most significant feature of a Chinese calendar is the tearable pages; a Chinese calendar usually has 365 pages, each representing a day in a year. When the day is done, a page is torn, and the cycle repeats everyday in every year a Chinese calendar is used. Not very eco-friendly we think, so in response to that, we made one that is torn every month (96.7% less waste!) 🌘
