Cloister of Bevelle
So, I've been on a major Final Fantasy X kick since the HD Remaster came out for the Playstation 3 a few weeks ago. It's been almost the only thing I've been playing since I got it.
Having been playing it so much, I got a bit inspired to make a new fractal - maybe even a series of them - based around the summoning runes of the Aeons in the game. I always loved how those runes looked - the detail of them was always quite beautiful.
So, I set out to create a new fractal that kind of reminded me of those runes. Granted, it's nowhere near an exact match - that would be impossible, at least for me - rather, I wanted to create something that would look like it could be one of the runes, while using colors from the various temples throughout the world of Spira.
Enter "Cloister of Bevelle".
Named for the colors used - which were the colors used within Bevelle Temple's "Cloister of Trials" - one of my favorite areas in the game, and home to my favorite Aeon, Bahamut.
I have to say, I'm rather proud of this one. I usually only use 2-3 colors in my fractals, and this marks the first real time I've ever done a multi-colored fractal like this. I was worried It'd end up looking like a unicorn vomited it out. The gradient had a lot of colors in it, so finding the right balance was a little tricky.
Quite glad I managed to get it just right!
