MICHAELA KIS AND STEPHANIE SATZINGER
Mikki and Steffi met in Vienna. Now they live together in Berlin
Mickaela is an actress and a hypnotherapist. She likes her district Prenzlauer but not Berlin. She has been living here for 5 years but doesn’t feel that her home is here. For her it's just a betweenstop.
Stepanie is a school therapist. She moved to Berlin to live with Mikki in a pandemic time a few days before the borders closed. Steffi likes Berlin but doesn't feel integrated here.
They want to move to Munich.
The important part of their life are their dogs. Berlin doesn't feel home for Mikki. But this apartment and especially a look from this window does.
Steffi says "For me home is also books. Even when I don't read much it still feels cozier with them".
Mickaela needs the microphone and lighting for taping and audition as an actress and also for coaching that she gives online.

What Steffi would definitely put in her bag in a case of emergency is the knife given to her by her grandfather. This gift is very important to her
When Mikki and Steffi were collecting their bags they worried the most about food for their dogs. One of them has stomach problems so she needs special food. The big package in the photo is “only for a few days”, Mikki says.
I remembered the refugees who had been evacuating with their dogs and cats to Poland and Germany. I saw a lot of them and it was moving me to tears almost every time. Because such care, responsibility and loyalty to your pets it’s something that makes you human.
