Trunk or Treat Poster Project and Social Media
In ARTS 222, Intro to Graphic Design, we were given the task creating a poster of a special event of our choice. Because it was autumn time, I chose to create a poster of a fall trunk or treat event. I used my iPad and Apple Pencil to draw and design the cars, giving them each unique, fall colors. I exported the three images as a PNG into Illustrator. In Illustrator I chose fonts to match a Halloween aesthetic, drew the spider webs using the pen tool, and created a background color that complemented the design well.
In addition to the Trunk or Treat Poster Project, I made three social media posts to correspond to my design. I chose to create social media posts that looked like different parts of a car. Similar to my poster, I used my iPad and Apple Pencil to draw the car mirror, wheel, license plate, and pumpkin. Drawing and designing the license plate was my favorite part of this project. I exported my drawings into Illustrator and finished adding additional colors and texts. Overall, I am pleased with my social media design and I think they correspond well with my fall, Trunk or Treat poster.
