Apple Books Author Page

This case study imagines detailed, rich author pages in the Apple Books app. As of now, only a horizontal scroll view of books and audiobooks, respectively, is available when visiting an author page.
Each author page starts with an image of the author and their name. This feels more personal for the reader, as they can see who they are actually reading. Below are horizontal scroll views of Highlights, a selection of the most read books and most listened to audiobooks; all books; and all audiobooks. When tapping the headline with the chevron, you are navigated to a grid view. Moreover, it is now possible to search for an author's work more easily. Authors can also be shared and favorited.
The newest released work is prominently displayed. When you favorite an author, you will get a notification when new works are released.
Below the works, there can be hand-crafted collections, e.g., of important topics or a series of books. At the bottom of the author page is a short bit of information as well as the birth (and death) date.
When authors have pseudonyms, these are listed after collections. When the navigation link is tapped, you get to the author page of the pseudonym.
