CAUCHEMAR
Cauchemar is a music video I made for the eponymous song composed by Mona san and interpreted by Zidi.
Not knowing what visual universe to create for the video, I relied on the tormented aspect of the lyrics of the song and more particularly on its title: "Nightmare". The aesthetics of the American horror movies of the 80's and 90's was my first source of inspiration, with its smoky backlighting, its strong contrasts or its colors going from red to blue. However, as the piece is also carrying a more rhythmic and light energy, I applied myself to bring to this horrific universe a little more bright touch. The colors are bright and sharp, the compositions strong, the light is hard and the flares are shrill and numerous.
