Brief: Show the detail of the shape and natural fabrics used in our insoles.

Insoles are not the most glamorous product to shoot, but speaking with the team at Esker Insoles I was excited to take on the challenge. They found with previous photography that the insoles looked flat and with that, they were struggling to convey the orthopaedic qualities they had designed into them. They wanted shape and three-dimensionality. In addition, the insoles are created purely out of Canadian wool, just using different webbing techniques to give the sole structure, and the warm and fuzzy top layer for comfort and warmth. I wanted to bring extra attention to this in one image solely captured for an impactful print advert, so using swatches of fabric suppled by the factory I built up the main image step by step.

The project was a great success and I look forward to working more with them.
