XIAOMI / WALLPAPERS
Over the past few years I have been collaborating with the Xiaomi design team on some really fun wallpaper projects. I always really enjoy working with them; their direction is always spot on and I feel we have been creating super awesome stuff together.
Needless to say I was super happy that I had the opportunity to collaborate with Xiaomi again earlier this year. This time I was asked to develop a set of animated wallpapers for their brand new folding phone: the MIX Fold 2. I did a bunch of explorations and we worked towards a set of 4 colorways and 3 animations. I teamed up with my good friend Eric Smilde who took care of all the animations.
I'm excited about the raw direction we took. I really appreciate the super simple and unpolished way of texturing and bold approach. I had a lot of fun creating these and would love to make more in this style or build on the dismissed proposals.
