Illustration work for French band Aephanemer and their "A Dream of Wilderness" album. As the title implies, something nature based was required, and the band already had the idea of a sole wild boar in mind.
Aephanemer's music can accurately be described as "colourful", and the previous illustrations that I've made for them have mainly been a bit unconventional for the genre in that department.
After some experimentation, I came up with the golden/blue palette, and after having made the boar itself extremely ornamental, I decided to balance things up by keeping the surrounding elements more basic and flat.
