Young Creatives Eurobest 2022
One Word Dictionary
One of Ukraine's most significant words, "VOLIA," which means freedom, resiliency, and the capacity to overcome obstacles, was introduced to us as part of the Young Creatives Eurobest 2022 challenge to think about Ukraine and put the focus away from the war.
They gave us the task of making it the word of the year and getting it into the Oxford English Dictionary.
Instead, we made a dictionary rather than adding it to an existing one where it would just be another entry.
One word with hundreds of meanings. Which are the brave acts we witness every day, both in the news and in our privileged lives. We would contribute to this testimony in a subsequent stage through the website.
It is said that we are all fighting something. Maybe it's true.
