Vanadzor
little big things
I moved to Vanadzor 6 months ago and while living here I tried to gather memories for my future self. One of the things that I noticed is that I have a lot of pictures of the places and random objects inside the town. I chose illustrations that represent my impressions of the small town.
Vanadzor is a small town surrounded by mountains in the North of Armenia. It's quite peaceful and has a nice atmosphere. Despite being an old Soviet industrial town, it still has some interesting pieces of architecture.
This is an illustration of an old market place, that is currently closed and under construction. It's a round building right on the corner of the street and has a nice vibe to it.
A nice apartment building with interesting balconies is next to my house. I pass it every day whenever I go shop.

Iconic piano at the outside coffeeshop at the bus station
this cute table with flowers in bottle is in my apartment yard - people living here made it and usually, you can see grandmas sitting around and probably discussing business.
Moving to Armenia and living outside Yerevan was a good decision for me. Vanadzor has more places to grow and develop as a town, but I feel safe here. The people are easygoing, although the city is not as developed as Yerevan. There are no big shopping malls or fancy restaurants, but it’s not a problem for me. I like walking down the streets in my free time and going to the parks with my friends. One thing at a time.
thank you for watching
