// A BRIEF HISTORY OF COG MAGAZINECOG has come a long way since its inception within the walls of Milwaukee's Breakaway Bicycle Courier office back in the spring of 2007. A bunch of like-minded bicycle messengers with a passion for the arts got together, worked throughout the summer to create issue number one. Since then, this publication has brought you stories and adventures in urban cycling and messenger culture, from around the world. Our many contributors, and myself have been very fortunate gaining life experiences while traveling with our bicycles to bring you the photographs and curated artworks which appear within the pages of COG, and this website.

 

Fast forward to today... Milwaukee now has FLAVORcycle. A bicycle delivery service based out of the same HQ as COG. What was meant to be a side project to fund travels for COG, quickly steamrolled into an all-consuming time-warp as local restauranteurs fully embraced the efficiency this new bicycle delivery service.

 

There's something pretty amazing about being able to bring back some culture to your hometown. Watching it flourish, through incredible persistence, hard work and dedication of the many FLAVORcyclists who have stepped up and made it happen is even greater. We can proudly say we truly practice what we preach through the pages of COG.
