Great River Center - KPF

Great River Center - KPF
Guess which instrument inspired the design of this 400-meter-tall tower overlooking the Yangtze river?

As a part of a larger development, the dramatic aesthetics of the Great River Center in Wuhan take its inspiration from the Gaugin — an ancient instrument revered in Chinese culture. Equipped with sun-shading fins running down from top to bottom like tightened Gaugin strings, it promises pretty spectacular views over the Yangtse river: the world’s longest river flowing entirely in one country.

Take a minute to indulge in the powerful architecture by KPF visualized by our own amazing TMRW friends and colleagues.
