A veces, las formas aparecen sin más mientras dibujo distraído y esas formas llevan a otras y esas a otras y me es imposible saber el origen de cada trazo.
Este año he creado más de mil obras. El 99% aún están almacenadas. Esperan a ser revisitadas o intervenidas, por si alguna de ellas contuviera ese verdadero “algo” que pretendo alcanzar.
No todo vale. No todo gesto es verdadero. Y tampoco soy siempre capaz de identificar inmediatamente lo que es mio de verdad y se quedará conmigo para siempre. Hace falta tiempo y distancia.
Las obras de esta exposición hablan de mí, de las ideas que escucho y se quedan en mi cabeza mientras pinto o dibujo. También son la representación mental de mi propia cara expresando emociones; las que yo no soy capaz de expresar.
En estas imágenes hay capas superpuestas de ideas fugaces con otras persistentes que no quiero analizar, porque no hace falta. Lo verdadero es irreversible.

Sometimes, shapes just appear while I am distractedly drawing and those shapes lead to others and those lead to others and it is impossible for me to know the origin of each stroke.
This year I have created more than a thousand works. Ninety-nine percent of them are still in storage. They are waiting to be revisited or intervened, in case one of them contains that real "something" that I intend to reach.
Not everything is valid. Not every gesture is true. And I am not always able to immediately identify what is truly mine and will stay with me forever. It takes time and distance.
The works in this exhibition speak of me, of the ideas that I hear and stay in my head while I paint or draw. They are also the mental representation of my own face expressing emotions; the ones I am not able to express.
In these images there are superimposed layers of fleeting ideas with other persistent ones that I don't want to analyze, because I don't need to. The true is irreversible.
