Not only is Flask my last name, but apparently it’s also a programming framework built off of the Python coding language. Robert Picard is currently writing a book titled Practical Flask, after successfully funding a Kickstarter project and he contacted me about doing illustrations for it.

I created one spot illustration for each chapter, 15 in total, in only one color to save on printing costs. We took the metaphor of space exploration as the idea surrounding the information presented in the book so the visuals ended up being very fun and engaging for a tech-oriented audience.
