Below are some examples of my photo-manipulation work and greeting cards designs. I have been creating those just for fun for a couple of years now mostly for social committee purposes at my work place. It started with me making farewell cards to coworker-friends leaving my company, but transitioned to other occasions as well. I always tried to make these very personal, choosing design themes that fit each one of the recipients. Usually these end up being parodies of recognizable pop culture posters.
PATRICK’S FAREWELL CARD
This is Patrick, an IT guy that moved on during one sad Autumn. He has been known to be big GAME OF THRONES / SONG OF ICE & FIRE fan, thus the card of him sitting on the Iron Throne made out of computer parts (not to scale). All I really had was the photo of his head.
WEDDING CONGRATIONS FOR REBERT AND JESS
Inspired by a Star Wars poster, this is probably the most epic card I have created to date! Robert is a tech lead, Jess is a lawyer. They are cat lovers and have two of their own – portrayed in the roles of R2D2 and C-3PO, as well as Darth Vader and Death Star for the purposes of this card. The futuristic landscape has been replaced by the Chicago skyline, and the X-Wings by flying cats.

CONGRATULARY CARD FOR CRYSTAL ON HALLOWEEN
Crystal was born on Halloween, this year it is her star birthday (31st on the 31st), she is getting married on Halloween, and it is Halloween. All of these things combined surely needed a celebratory card. For this design I used a vintage greeting card as a base. I only had Crystal's and her fiance's heads, the rest was pieced together from vintage photographs.

FAREWELL CARD FOR SARAH
Sarah was an amazing account manager for Bacardi at a company I work For Sarah I decided to go with an Alphonse Mucha alcohol ad photo-manipulation (see below). She is moving on to a job position that deals with fine art, so I thought it’d be fitting to have her card look like a piece of art. This was originally a beer ad, but you can imagine that what she is actually drinking is a very frothy Bacardi & Coke. The ad inside the oval is a vintage ad for Martini & Rossi, which is actually under Bacardi umbrella. It’s a little more classy a brand for a classy lady that is Sarah. The biggest challenge of this card was working with a pretty low resolution photo of Sarah trying to make it match with the poster.
