Annual Report: Four Oaks 2013

This was for the child welfare non-profit Four Oaks. They had such a great response to the 2012 "Letters" report that I did that they wanted something similar. To not just do the same thing over again, I decided to go with a "handmade scrapbook" look, which was advantageous as there were not as many available photos as in the past. The cover had a spot gloss applied to make some of the elememts really stand out and further the "3D" impression.
I've never done any sort of scrapbooking, so this was a fun challenge. First in figuring out how to do it such that I could still easily make many client changes along the way, and ultimately in being able to play with combining so many differenty types of elements and papers. Fortunately I was ableto buy many of the pieces digitally due to their "semi-commercial" licenses, which offer the ability to create flattened, unique artwork for a client.
An example of the spot gloss usage. The photos and metallic ring were glossed.
The Donors section used coordinating/contrasting stitching, backgrounds and different colored tags for each spread.
