I couldn't think of any place in Morocco that retains more its spirit despite the frenetic tourism. Tetouan is divided in 3 parts: the city, with strongly Spanish roots, the result of the protectorate that lasted 43 years, its old town (La Medina), painted in white and green that still retains that soul of the past, full of zocos (old markets) where food merchants, antiques and fabrics create a perfect mix, and last but not least, the beach, that endless coast in the Mediterranean Sea.
