We decided that an Android client would be beneficial for the Passpad project, so, here it is.
I tried to keep the design as smart as possible, while inserting eye candy here and there in order to make it a bit more exciting. Everything is customised - all the text boxes and buttons aren't just the default ones and I tried to make everything have a subtle gradient.
The 'Login' screen is the first thing the user will see, so it's got to be smart. I decided to give the textboxes and the button hard edges in order to contrast with the bubbly background.
The PIN entry screen was designed to be easy to use and have a similar feel to that of the login screen. Again, the same custom textboxes and buttons are used, set out in a similar way to that of the Android lock screen.
I created a custom toast (technical term for popup) to serve as a fancy notification system. It was designed to be unobtrusive and simple.
Here it is in the real world.
