ICAF - The International Community Arts Festival in Rotterdam, was held for the 6th time in Mars 2014. Here is some work I did for two different parts of the enormous schedule. First I made a "sign" for the ICAF Playground, which was a space with interactive artistic exchanges that inspired connection. Instead of making a typical sign I decided to use old wine boxes I found out on the street. For the graphics I got influenced by the little wooden cubes with letters on, the ones that children play with to learn the alphabet.
The other part of the festival that I was involved in was designing the so-called Captain´s Tables. Those where intimate dinner partyes with some of the artists performing at the festival. Those where: the Indian activist Jeannette Vivian Lavell, Ut and Anat Shamai from Israel, and Hector Aristizabal the psychotherapist and theater artist from Colombia. For the promotion of the event I made them into real captains, and for the actual invitation letter I carved out a stamp and made an ICAF-seal with proper old school wax.
