The End, Start
concept / wood

They say if you want to know the shape of the wind, all you have to do is blow a giant bubble!
There is no answer to this question, and even the pencil gripper has not improved the intrinsic problem. A pencil is made by putting the pencil lead into a wooden board with grooves, then gluing it together with another board, and finally cutting it into a pencil. The pencil lead is as long as the board, but the last part of the pencil lead is always not used. Because it is a composite material, it can only be discarded as ordinary garbage. The "End, Start" is a new form of pencil that moves the end of the pencil lead forward. In this way, not only can the pencil lead be used fully, but after use, only a pure section of wood is left behind, which can be recycled or made into various wood products. It is by giving this pencil its final destination that it can have more new beginnings.
The prototype was made and designed for KOKUYO DESIGN AWARD 2022
