BOOK COVER: For this project we were tasked with making a custom book cover of books off a list. I choose "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. As it was a book that I remember from high school and enjoyed, so that helped with the designing process of it.
SKETCHES: For the sketches the first ideas that I had were things to do with a mental hospital, as that is where the story takes place. So things like straight jackets, pills, the mind, and fences.
First Drafts: I picked the pills to focus on as I believed that they would be the best way to show the mental hospital.
First Finish: For this I developed the third first draft and added more detail that a normal book cover would have, until finally changing it to the photo realism that is in my final design.
