Light Studies

Magic happens in the space where water and light meet. Lines of refracted light attract one another, meet and glow, dance and twirl, depart and meet again.  In contained pools of water these patterns warp further as they are projected onto different planes.

It’s as if water slows down the speed of light to let us in on lights’ secrets.  In return, light, in the way it moves through water, tells us something of water. This is what I am exploring in these drawings.

This is a new series of work and there will be more to come... watch this space.
