Red Riding Hood and the Wolf
Quick sketch and colour lay in for Red Riding Hood illustration. Done in Procreate until I ran out of layers.
You can just see the beginning of how I wanted the lighting to show in the final piece.
Here I've added Red's basic colours and lighting on the face as this is my focal point. Cloak and hair came second and it was a bit back and forth with getting the edges right.

Red Riding Hood turns back, fear creeping up her spine. Is something following her?
The background has been left a bit chunky and graphic to stand out against Red's face which is in contrast finished to higher detail hopefully relaying the emotion of the piece and leaving the question looming in the mind, what comes next?
