Saksham Yuva Yojana Haryana

The saksham yuva yojana Haryana aims to create a pool of talented youth and provide them with the requisite skills, training and resources to enable them to take up professional or entrepreneurial pursuits. The scheme offers a range of incentives, including a monthly allowance of Rs 6000, loan assistance of up to Rs 10 lakh and job grants up to Rs 2 lakh.

So far, the scheme has benefited over 1.5 million youths in 11 states. In Haryana, it has created employment for over 2 lakh youths and helped them gain vital skills such as computer literacy and entrepreneurship. The state government has also launched two special schemes under the yojana – the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Jyoti Yojana (PMGJY).

Under PMAY, 90% loans upto Rs 5 lakh are available for construction of houses belonging to weaker sections, while under PMGJY, interest subsidy on home loans is being provided for households belonging to weaker sections.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a flagship programme of the Government of India aimed at providing rural households with sustainable and affordable housing. The programme is launched in two phases, with an initial corpus of Rs. 7,000 crore. The first phase will provide financial assistance to construct toilets in rural areas.

Under the scheme, households that meet certain eligibility criteria will be eligible for assistance, including those living in villages with less than 20% population coverage, belonging to weaker sections of society, and residing in areas that are poorly accessible or lack basic infrastructure such as roads and hospitals.

The second phase of the PMAY will focus on constructing more durable shelters suitable for all weather conditions. Households that qualify under this phase will receive assistance up to Rs 50,000 per house.

To date, over 1.03 crore toilets have been constructed under Phase-I of PMAY and over 3 lakh durable shelters have been built under Phase-II of the programme. In addition, over 11 lakh hectares has been brought under 'irrigation coverage' through Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY).
