- the packaging is made of biodegradable plastic, with the base made of cardboard to provide durability
- it can be refilled and reused several times
- the flip-top cap at the base helps the user pour out the lentils without having to tilt the entire pack
- the lentils can be used directly from the packaging and need not be transferred to another container
- the zip lock provided at the top also allows one to transfer the contents to another container if required
