Trinket By Kath is an Indonesian lifestyle & stationery brand cofounded by my high school friend, Jenny Sylvia & I, during the pandemic in 2020. Sharing the same passion for beautiful merch & stationeries, we decided to work together. I am in charge of the creative direction, while she focuses more on the logistic & marketing of the brand.
We've experimented with different mediums to transfer illustrations into merch these past two years, from papers to embroideries. One thing is for sure; we want to create not only beautiful products but also highly useful ones. We want to develop products that the customer truly needs.
For the branding, I created Trinket By Kath to be modern & minimalist but with a playful twist. Although colorful, it's not overly loud & could complement the illustrations nicely. The logo itself is a simplified form of a dandelion bud. The Dandelion has been a meaningful symbol to me; the Dandelion as a flower is an icon of resilience, adaptability & hard work. I also featured it in my branding for my college graduation in 2014, which you can see here. You can also say that the same spirit inspires Trinket By Kath.
