SOUTHERN SIBERIA
The spot at the confluence of the rivers Katun ("queen" - on the right) and Chuya ("main river" - on the left). You should visit this place in autumn while the river is turquoise due to sandstones (it becomes in muddy milky-white shade in spring and summer).
The usual country house with a fence from decaying trunks (you don't need barriers to have a private life because nobody lives by your side).
The lovely gazebo takes place on the edge of an alpine hill on the left bank of the Katun (close to the village of Kuyus).
Just animals live their lives. Actually it was my view from guest house window.
A shepherd and a husky (or kind of mix).
One more picture of Katun.
"Demob" bridge was made by 3000 prisoners in 1936. They were promised to receive amnesty at the end if the bridge was constructed in time. Both parts of the deal were successful - the bridge was ready to use in time, the prisoners had amnesty. The tragedy was a bit later (shortly after completing) when the truck with the amnestied part, driven by a trainee driver, fell off a cliff where 27 people died...
Now the Ininsky bridge is out of use due to years without any reconstructions.
