Brick Lane
An illustration brief to design a set of 5 collectible paper cup exteriors inspired by Brick Lane. It involved initial onsite documenting, feeling and experiencing through drawing and photographing.
To encourage people to collect them all I decided on a design where the five individual pieces would fit together to create a larger images like a jigsaw puzzle. My final design was a piece that contained as much of my collected samples from the area and compiled together accordingly to create a mismatch of components (almost an overload) as this reflected my feeling of Brick Lane and its overwhelming power. The street name, in a font inspired by graffiti in the area, ran down the centre of the design to bring it all together.
