PORTRAITS FOR THE EXHIBITION "FILMAKEHER"
For 24FPS association I made the portraits of three of the most infulential directors on the world scene. Maya Deren, Chantal Akerman and Celine Sciamma are directors from different yeras and century but they share the strong and distinctive stylistic code that has characterized their work since the beginning. Starting from this assumption, I studied and designed each portrait so that it could be reflected in the style and thinking of the directors. I used black and white in the portrait and color for the background and elements to bring out the cinematic features and at the same time give depth to the director’s image. The complete project includes a number of 24 portraits of international female directors illustrated by as many Italian illustrators. The exhibition opened on October 16 until 27 November at CUBO in Parma, along with workshops, screenings and conferences during the exhibition period.
