Lomba sihir is an eclectic pop band from Jakarta. On their first album, entitled “Selamat datang di ujung dunia” (Welcome to the edge of the world) they invite them to see Jakarta from another perspective, a love-hate letter about the trials and tribulations of growing up and surviving in the Capital City.
They invited me to respond to the album's theme in an illustration and design for the box set, which included a CD, booklet, sticker set, postcard, and cutlery.
This project is inspired by various things I see daily in Jakarta, such as ondel-ondel (Jakarta traditional puppets), street food, garbage and floods.
